Go to the Salvation Army, food pantries, things like that. Apply for WIC; that'll get you basic food, but not clothes, cleaning supplies, cigarettes or alcohol. HEAP and SSI can help with other bills; contact your local office for applications for those services. They can point you in the direction of other useful public programs.

You need to get a job. That's the bottom line. If you have a baby, you need to pony up and make some money. You don't bring kids into this world and then dump them; it's your responsibility to give her what she needs. Take hand-outs until you get on your feet, but don't make yourself, and don't make HER live that shame.

i dont know how cod i help y dont try 2 sell sth like flower am sure u r pretty & ppl ll like 2 buy 4m u......or c some places that give free things 4 ppl who cod nt find work ......good luck bebe & inform us wen ur problem solved coz it cost me my peace of mind thinking about u & the poor baby.....ur sister lona.

any church will help you,, don't be shy thats what the community does for all towns..I do it,,,everyone is so friendly! also go to your park district , and public aid..you can get so much help and it's ok.

Just online there are many resources. Of course you need a job, but until then your baby still needs things.

Freecycle: http://www.freecycle.org/
Wish Upon a Hero: http://www.wishuponahero.com/
Qambio: http://www.qambio.com/
Robinhood fund : http://www.robinhoodfund.com/ (this is a weekly wishing contest, don't expect to win but you can try!)

There are also local crisis pregnancy centers. They can refer you to somewhere that will help.

Since I don't know the age of your baby, if she is still really a baby (under 18m or so) she doesn't *need* shoes because you'll carry her everywhere. Its better for babies to learn to walk without shoes--so lots of socks, but she doesn't need shoes at that age.

And under 4 months, most babies ignore toys. Her favorite toy will be your voice & face, so if you can't afford toys, play with her a lot! Sing, cuddle--even if you can鈥檛 give her material things, keep her fed, warm & loved and she鈥檒l be a lucky & happy baby!
