What training do you need to become a real estate agent?

A CD-ROM course and then a test at an assigned location.

The certificate itself doesn't make you a millionaire. It's where you go with it. I think that real estate is a socialite's industry. The more you have the "gift of gab" the more money you'll make. If you're shy, this is an impossible job.

Check with your local community college and speak with a course adviser.

Depends on the jurisdication you live in. In my area both a course and on-the-job work experience (with a licensed person) is required. This takes up to 8 months.
