Please help! I need career advice!!!?

This may sound like a really dumb question to ask as I know everyone always says we ourselves can only choose a career that's right for us, but what happens when you don't know what's right for you but yet you know you want to have career?

My problem is I've been going to college for 2 years now and I have no clue of a career path to take Okay my problem is I wanted to do art but its not possible (see additional stuff below this) and basically every alternative career requires too much math I already am having trouble with math...Ive had to withdraw once and I've failed once as well...ours are labeled math 95 (intro to algebra) and math 96 (basic college algebra) and Ive already taken math 95 two times and not been able to pass it I don't know how to struggle through it but if by some miracle I do struggle by it and 96 all my other alternative I STILL have to have a higher math even if I want to be a preK teacher!? Can anyone suggest a career field that doesn't take tons of math?

I wanted desperately to do art with emphasis on photography and digital art..it's about the only thing I'm good at. But I don't have that much money and I have some scholarship money but it can't be taken out of the state and we don't have any art schools in the state that I can travel too. I was looking at two art schools in state and I had about 5 art related professors from different schools (and some in my family out of state) and students in the program from those schools beg me to not go there as they said the schools basically didnt care about their arts program.

If art is your passion, don't let it go. Two or three math courses should not keep you back from what you love to do. Consider taking a lighter load when you take math courses so that you can concentrate and dedicate time to passing. Also consider taking the course in an alternate way that would transfer to your school - check out online intro to algebra or through a real correspondence school if you think you might do better this way. First, though, check with your college to see if those types of courses would transfer in and would the grade also transfer (some colleges dont count the grade, just whether you passed or not).

For many people, math is the most feared of subjects and they end up putting a mental block. Consider that most people find college algebra the worst class but higher level maths easier so if you can get thru algebra, the others should be a piece of cake. Don't let your fear dominate. You can do it - thousands of other people have (even me - took it twice but finally got a C). Good luck!!

Well, For you to be unable to pass math is a problem. Is there anything else that appeals to you? its possible to have a different major, not one that you need to get a job but to get your degree then from there you can find a job and possibly get time to pursue your photography. I dont know if it helped you but good luck! *its possible to get a math tutor too*
