Is this an embarrassing job?

Well I am 19 years male, and i need a car really bad to go to school so i applied for cafeteria helper . They send me letter saying i have to take a test. I am kind of embarrass working there because 1) i am young 2) I look very young for my age, I have been told i look like 15 or 16.3) i have to work with kids:(. The good things about working there is i get every holiday off, and paid, I can miss whenever i want and i get 2 months paid vacation. The pay is 3-5 dollars higher than the minimum wage. What you think?

I'm sorry but you need to grow up. If the job pays well and has good benefits, what's the problem? You're worried about what the kids will think of you? Who cares! You are a man and you need to take care of your business. Put your work gloves on and get busy. This is real life and there is not room to be prideful when you've got bills to pay.

It sounds like a cool job, But if you are too embarrassed and not happy at all try finding a job that Will make you feel not embarrassed and happy.

Work somewhere you are proud to say.

Its honest money and you do want to drive right? Who ever doesn't agree should give you the money and since that's not likely who cares what they think?

Do you want the car or not?! We've all done rubbish jobs as a student, but in the long run when you're in your stressful post-graduate job you will look back and reminisce over the care-free cafeteria days ...

I dont think its embarrassing. You get paid money with good benefits. Why should you care if someone likes your job or not? Look at all the dead beat/lazy people who are older than you and dont have jobs. Its good that youre working.

that sounds like a great job.... not embarassing at all, an embarassing job is one that is self degrading - like a stripper.. working in a caf is not degrading at all, plus the wage sounds nice
