I just lost my job! What do you think? Read on...?

The other phlebotomist I worked with cursed like a truck driver, stole all kinds of things from freezer bags to cleaning supplies. She would make mistakes that, for the sake of our patients, I would correct, & she would go run around the medical center visiting & then return just in time to clock out! I reported many situations but LabCorp purchased our company & now they let me go & kept this scum!!! Anyone know of any good jobs since I have worked my bottom off keeping four kids in college? Just needed to let some steam off :(

Talk to HR and tell them you will file a complaint with L&I if they terminated you wrongly. Id file just so the Labor and Industry will investigate them and MAKE SURE you weren't laid off wrongly!!!

you weren't termed because of your former co-worker. talk to HR about an appeal and make an appointment with the unemployment office in your area. be sure to document conversations with management and the co-worker. keep emotions out of it.

I hear you! I got laid off in your exact same way. It sucks. I actually lucked out looking online. I was out of work for about 2 weeks. But they let me go a few days before Thanksgiving. Ugh.
