Is it time to look for a new job when your current employer treats you like you're mentally challenged?

I suggest talking to your manager (or who ever is treating you this way) and address the issue. If the behavior continues, then clearly there is no longer a fit and you should look elsewhere.

Nope...wait till you hear from him and ask what is his reason for firing you. But on the other side, try to look for a new job just in case so it would be less hassle on your part if you lose your current job.

no, it's perfectly okay for your employer to treat you like you are mentally challenged, especially if you are mentally challenged. I mean, get real - isn't that what employers are supposed to do? I think all employers should treat their employees like they are mentally challenged, then there is no confusion as to who is in charge, and employees can continue to wonder about themselves and if they are in the right place. It keeps everybody on their toes. I just wish that I was more skillful at treating my employees like they were mentally challenged. It would make me so much more important and respected in my position.
