Can someone help me pick a career path?

I know I like sociology, psychology, and history in general.
But I don't know what job opportunities there are for my interests.
I know for sure I don't want to teach though.

(I'm a student in high school by the way, get good grades, and plan on going to college.)

You have a lot of time left before deciding on a career. Keep asking yourself honest questions and give honest answers. Sometimes the path to the right career comes from process of elimination.

The Myers-Briggs personality test was traditionally used to find a suitable occupation path for test takers. Most psychologists dismiss that way of thinking. Speak with your teachers, professors, and guidance counselors. Then speak with someone you trust (could be one of the above).

There's a great book you can check out called "What Color Is Your Rainbow?" It's been published and updated every year for about 20 years now. It's an awesome book!

It's has chapters where you do some self-evaluating and determine what you like and don't like. What your skills are, and what skills you have that you might not think you can apply to a job, but you can!

It's an absolutely great book to go through and when you're done you may find that you find a career you never thought existed, or that you start a business doing something totally unique!

Good luck to you!

Here some steps to take

Step-1: List down all of your talents, skills & interests
Step-2: Find out as much as you can what are available in the market that match with step-1
Step-3: Get education on your career
Step-4: Make sure you have make the right decision
Step-5: Act on it

Good luck.

I would say Economics..Publicity...ahaha stay in school:))

If you want to compare career options and salaries, there's an tool where you can type in a job title, see the career path for that job and the salaries for related job titles. It is at http://www.payscale.com/gigzig.aspx See the links below for examples of what I found when I typed in job titles related to your interests.

Hope that helps,
