What alternate careers exist for high school teachers?

I am a high school teacher with a Master's in Educational Leadership and administration. To get to the point. I have been in this career since 1996 and I am to the point of hating my job.(and the small paycheck.) Any suggestions on an alternate career for someone with a career background in education. My criteria is simple, I want a job that rewards results and commitment and I am willing to travel if necessary up to 25% of the time. Any suggestions are welcome.

Well first of all welcome to the club. You have just crossed that imaginary line of love/hate. So I belive the right questions to ask is what do you find yourself interested in? Is it someting thats completly yours and that you enjoy doing and secondly have you prayed about it? You'll be suprised by the power of prayer.

I couldn't help but notice how you emphasized how small your paycheck is and how you want to be rewarded for your performances. Well I have what I belive to be the best thing to cover those bases. "Financial Advisor" Not just any financial advisor and maby not like a Suzy Orman, but you'll be able to help other people just like she. She (Suzy) said in her excerpt from Premier Magazine is that what my company does is exactly what she tells people to do all the time. My company, the company that I work for is dedicated to helping people plan a better financial future, both as a representative as well as a client. The best part, you do whats right 100% of the time. Not to mention the company does a great deal of providing rewards. Like the all inclusive trips to just about anywhere. The now, not so corny watch so as I thought once was, but they also give you a ring. This ring has many different levels. Just to give you a tease...I recently saw a represenative get his million dollar income ring. This was especially exciting seeing how he was in my base shop and grew up in a simular neighborhood as did I. Not to mention this guy used to have a major speach impediment. By the way you get your ring when youve reached a 100,000 dollar income a year.

In this same magazine David Boch (I hope Im spelling his name right) said in his article that if he wasn't already successfull in his own business that being a multi millioaire he himself would be working for Primerica. You can visit them on www.primerica.com.

Note: that your last sentence said "any suggestions were welcome." Well here it is. Oh by the way I could introduce to you some teachers with all their Educational Degrees who now work full time for Primerica.

I hope I was helpfull...

Can I tell you about a gentleman I met many years ago and who I now consider to be a friend, he was a college Dean and one of his favourite sayings is he has 9 children all of them boys except 7. He like you found his pay check just wasn't big enough.
I first met him when he was a leader in a business I had joined, and what he said made a lot of sense to me, that business is no longer in business, but I still listen to him when ever I can.
What I suggest is take a look at my friends personal web site
www.georgezalucki.com unfortunately I can't give you a business web address here but if you email me I will send you on a web site which might just be suitable for you, especially as you are a teacher. What I will say is what I would like to show you certainly rewards people for results and commitment.
