I am 14....where can i find a good job (that is not a paper round)??

i have a paper round for a free paper and it pays penuts (at the most of 拢70 a month).
i would really love to have a saturday job somewhere doing quite easy and it can pay quite reasonably. how would i go around getting one of those.

i don't have ANY family that could higher me, so it would have to a stranger.

i live in chester by the way

Well at 14 you can sweep up hair in a hair salon =/
Its hard to get good pay for jobs when your 14 because the minimum wage doesnt apply to under 16s.

It may sound like a cliche but put an advert in the local paper or newsagent's window. Thats the best way to find a job - it may turn out that someone needs their dogs walking everyday or an old person needs help to do their shopping but at least money is money!

Good luck

nowhere i am afraid,until you are 16yrs

I think you're doing fine, 拢70 a month for a 14 year old is a lot of money!

I think you may be a little bit too young for a lot of places to take you on but it's worth asking around the local shops in your area. Don't bother with ones that sell alcohol or cigs though as you will have to be 18 to work there.

There is a chance that most places won't take you on till your 15 or 16 though.

if* you have a kroger food store, than you can work there. they pay minimum wage, but at least you get money.

do they have an mcdonalds or fast food places or restaurants where you live , they might be looking for some help

another option is yard maintenance , like grass cuting , snow removal or raking leaves .

you can work in a cafe at fourteen

I managed to get a good income from paper rounds.
you will find out 3 different local papers in your area. Build it up so you are doing the same roads with all the parers. You only walk the roads once but you are getting paid by three people. As you gain experience you can start a leaflet company. Delivering leaflets paid for my house.

Check with your Local Authority Youth Service - unless the Council has bye-laws in place, you are severely restricted as to the hours you can work until you leave school.

Maybe you could talk to your parents about little odd jobs you can do for family and friends like ironing, cleaning, cooking or gardening. It might sound labour intensive but you could find something that you like and its a way of picking up good life skills.
