Searching for part-time job related with accounting?

im currently taking part-time diploma in accounting on saturday only.. on normal day i will help my mom at her hawker but next year after the chinese new year the hawker centre will close for 2 month.. so im searching for a job that related to my studies to experience n understand more about it.. im willing to learn.. my mom say if the job is stable then she will let me countinue with the job full-time..

You have picked the perfect time of year to find a part-time job in accounting! I've worked in accounting for over 15 years (5 in public and 11 in corporate). Most companies have a year-end that ends on 12/31, and even if they don't they have to do certain reporting like W-2s or 1099s at that time. So they need help trying to complete all this extra stuff that doesn't happen the rest of the year.

There are a couple of ways to get your foot in the door. You can try going to companies directly - a good place to start might be your college recruiting office. Or, you could put in applications at temporary agencies who will take the calls from the companies that need help. Be sure that you highlight your studies and ongoing interest in the field. Any temporary job can turn into full-time with the right skillset and attitude. Good luck!
