What do you think it takes for you to get a raise or be promoted at work?

LMAO @ MzActr3z

I completely agree with a comment made by Rock Candy. Also you should always ask for what you want. Don't whine about how much you have already done, and how much you are deserving of that promotion. Instead talk about how you can do the job you are after better than the other person who is doing it presently. Also, don't ever take "no" for an answer. To me it always means "not yet". And gives me something to strive for. Pull all the stops and go for it, girl! The best of luck!

I think you need to work at the level you want to be promoted to for at least 6 months to prove you can do the work. You should also be willing to do extra work, as well as take on other projects outside your job duties.

lots of effort

Need to know more to really give a good answer. A lot of times people forget to ASK YOUR BOSS FOR A RAISE. Hope that helps and good luck :)

OK 3 CHOICES:

a) ASK FOR A RAISE
b) PRAY FOR A RAISE
c) WHERE VERY TIGHT, AND REVEALING CLOTHES (IF YOUR BOSS IS MALE OR FEMALE, IF YOU GO THAT WAY)

For a woman, proficiency on the job, and dressing sexy, but in accordance with dress code. Example, you can't wear miniskirts, but you can wear your dress slacks extremely tight. But make sure if you are going to use this method that you know your job also. It worked and continues to work for me.

Depends who you are for some people all it takes is sleeping with the boss..

act like you dont care about a raise or being promoted

You need to be on time, try to study other language, take an other course at the university, be neatly and professional, and give all the you can on quality.

If you truly deserve the raise and can prove that you have earned it, make an appointment with your boss or supervisor, explaining that you would like to get a raise/wage increase and prove with some paperwork how you've come to deserve it. List all your efforts and if you have gone out of your job description for the benefit of the company. And be winsome! :-)

Not a thing, they have come to me offering a higher position and more money, but i have knocked them back for years, as a matter of fact, i have asked them to take me back to a lower wage and lower position and they have refused to do it, go figure that, you'd think they would try and save a few dollars.
