How do i find employment as a teenager?

I can try going door to door in various shops (in semi-formal clothing) or online at craigslist, but are there any other ways to find part time jobs? thanks.

make an impressive resume to give to the employers when you apply for the job. also, dress nice.

It all depends on what type of employment you are looking for.

Many companies in large cities will hire teenagers to do small jobs (mailroom/light clerical/warehouse).

Your guidance counselor at your school most likely would have a list a places that would be able to help you.

As a teenager, getting a full time job is tough. well, you can try things like lawn mowing, baby sitting, etc.

Or else go for online jobs. but make sure that you dont fall for those scam jobs which demands upfront money. they are all fake.

visit here and you will find out some of a good online jobs available and all are legitimate.

If you are trying to come up with a list of possible jobs for teenagers - especially during the winter - you might want to check out this link http://www.money-and-kids.com/winter-tee...

It has links to other pages that have job suggestions and also ideas for starting your own biz.

Also, be sure to think about how much you can work and what hours you will be available. Some of the shops in our area have somewhat limited hours so working after school there won't give you much money because there aren't enough hours.

The retailers that are the most likely to have lots of possibilities are those that are open the most and are in service industries. These include fast food and sit-down restaurants, grocery stores and mass merchants (Wal-Mart, Best Buy, department stores). They are used to hiring teens and working with the school schedules.
