Anyone else been contacted by Power-Network-Careers.com?

My husband got an e-mail about a job as a Human Resources Manager from these people. But, we've never heard of them before. Anyone use them before? Experiences? Anything?

If he's actively pursuing a new career, which is such a common New Year's Resolution, then he will be contacted by places like this. These sites are used by recruiting companies to find applicants for jobs. It's more active than Monster or their ilk because it's not just a posting, but an actual live recruiter.

Your husband needs just protect himself by not offering up any sensitive information like social security number, credit card info, or passwords.

Other than that, fill out the app and hope for the best.

You've been duped - the domain was only registered a few weeks ago, and the people running the site have hidden their domain registration details so you can't trace them.

I just checked out the site and it looks similar to one I filled out for fast-track-careers.com. It is indeed a recruitment site and they will call you back or write you back to get more information. I'm relatively happy where I am, so I'm not actively looking -- but I never want to deny myself a better salary if one pops up, so I filled out the website they linked me to in my e-mail.

Never heard of them.
Just take some simple precautions:
Our company is listed on the stock market and regulated by Ofgem. So ask yourself what credentials the company has?
Is it just one man and his dog?
There are plenty more employer out there so look around.

There wasn't anything about them when I googled them, but that's not uncommon if it's a new site or new recruiter or whatever. Like others said, guard your sensitive personal info (social security, bank accounts, credit cards) and he'll be okay.

I have! Every now and then, i've gotten emails from them. At first I was really skeptical...you never know with certain places, but I tried and it was perfectly fine. I didn't get the job I applied for, but they still send me information every now and then. Just don't give them super personal information. Otherwise, go for it--and good luck!
