Resume Career Objective - Please critique?

I am re-vamping my resume and I really need to redo my career objective, but have never been really good at them. If you have any experience with this, please critique my objective. I am looking for a graphic design position.

"To assume a creative role designing, from conception to completion, materials for advertising, collateral and/or packaging; striving to stay at the forefront of the creative industry to be able to raise the bar for others, by setting an example of what can be accomplished with a little skill and a lot of imagination."

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't mean the last line like it sounds, but I understand that employers won't interpret it how I meant it.

Objectives are stupid and ignored UNLESS they are bad.

You do realize that you just told the reader you have "little skill" (read your last line).

And this is way too long.

Something like this:

I would suggest you go to the library and find a book on resumes that has sample resumes/objectives for your industry.
