Series 7 License can anyone take the test? |
I was wondering if anyone could take those exams? Do you need to have a degree to take the test for it? If you dont have to have a degree, if you have a series 7 w/o a degree, woud a financial firm still look at you as a possible candidate for a job? Any info would help. Thanks for your time Thanks for your answers. From what I understand, you need to have a sponsor to take the exam (such as an employer). Yes anyone can take the exam and ofcourse if you pass you'll get the License. When my neighbor took it, he got it in 2 days. You are ofcourse not penalized if you fail. Once you get it, your odds of being getting a job increases like 98%. A college degree is not required to take the test however it would help land a job of course. The only thing required to take the test is to have a broker-dealer firm to sponsor you. As far as the financial firms, there are two types. One that are commision based and those that are not. The commision jobs may be easier to get because you would invest the money in yourself so they have less value put in to you. A non-commision job may be harder to get but you can still get it. Just because your don't have a degree don't let anyone tell you that no one would hire you. If you have the skills someone will invest in you. |
