Open for suggestions -how to say this on a resume??

I have, in the past ,completed and passed several career specific exams that led to being "licensed" in my occupation. I have since been away from the biz (due to family illness) and the licenses have since lapsed. I want to be able to somehow convey that I am have, I AM, capable of taking the exams again. I can't say "licenses held," because, obviously, I longer have them current. But at the same time it demonstrates the higher level of the position I held within the industry. How would you say it? I swear, I am all hung up on this and it is keeping me from sending out my resume. Going bonkers!
Thanks for your ideas! Sometimes when it is your own resume, you can not see the forest for the trees!

You could have a field for "Past licenses (held)" or something of the sort. Depending on how you think they will think of this presentation you may want to add an explanation for the lapse, so they do not think were revoked.

you can list the licenses and date obtained and expired. Like such:

RN License
Date acquired:12/10/06
Expiration Date: 12/26/07
then you can state planning to renew after all the licenses are listed.

Just state in your cover letter that you have completed all the required certification programs and you have an established work history to augment such training.

Once you are in the interview, you can open with an explanation of the gap in your history due to the illness and segue into your re-certification. Good Luck.
