Can you get a job at age fourteen? |
I want a job. I figure maybe Perkins or something would let fourteen year olds be a hostess. Does anyone know? Yes you can as long as you have a work permit, but only some places might hire. KFC does, my friend was 14 and she worked there. Yes - states may have different laws so check with your Department of Labor. Sometimes they can't operate machinery, etc. depends on the the law in your state I would look more towards a fast food place. With a work permit, you should be able to get a job with no problems. I doubt that a hostess job would go to someone under 18. here in detroit i know the detroit zoo hires at 14, and then the city has summer job programs for kids 14 and up. you do need a work permit though. I worked at the Dairy Queen at 14. |
