Why do potential employers say this to me? |
I am having trouble understanding potential employers - i'm living in NJ wanting to relocate to NYC, applying for paralegal jobs - I got 2 call backs from employers. The employer called you for 2 reasons. It was to inform you there were no openings at this time (so you would not be wasting your time waiting for them to call and could continue actively seeking employment)-BUT by putting your resume on file they are saying they are interested enough in your abilities to hire you should an opening occur. It is amazing that you received phone calls. They were being polite so that you are not wondering what is happening with your resume. Actually you are doing something right. If potential employers who don't have anything at the moment still call you to tell you they are keeping your information on file, your resume impressed them. Review the conversation that you had with each. What did they ask and what did you say? |
