I feel so bad and i need to call off would you believe me if i called off today 12/26?

I have been sick since Sunday with a bad cold. I feeling a little better but I am still sneezing and my throat is sore. I am work now at my full time job. I have not been here since last Wed and I need to catch up. I have to work my second retail job tonight. I am thinking of calling off because I will not get off until 10:00 pm. I think I need to rest. I have worked the part time job for four years and I have worked everyday after Christmas and Thanksgiving in the four years. I feel guilty about calling off even though I am really sick. It is the day after Christmas and I know we will be busy and plus I don't think they will believe me when I call. Despite what I considered a great record with them in the last four years and excellent yearly reviews Who is going to believe that I am actually sick and that I just don't want to work.

it is a part time job i get paid hourly so i only get paid if i go in. I don't get paid for the holiday like i do at my full time job

Have the confidence to tell them exactly how you feel.
If you have been reliable in the past why would they not believe you? - and if they *choose* not to so what ?- your health is more important than money or what they *think* and the very fact that you are asking this question shows that you really do need a break to clear up that cold.If you do not get rest and pamper yourself a little bit then you will never get rid of the cold and get back to normal and that might mean even more time off later on.
Why feel guilty when you have nothing to feel guilty about?

some places don't pay you for the holiday if you are out sick the day before or after the holiday. you might want to check that out and see if you can afford to be out sick.
