Ebay Australia?

As of June 17th Ebay is forcing all sellers to only accept payments through Paypal (or the rarely used payment on pick-up)

Im a bit of an Ebay junkie and personally I dont mind Paypal, I use it quite often especially for more expensive purchases. But for smaller purchases I have always used Direct Deposit. I would find it somewhat embarrassing to buy a cheap second hand book and pay for it with Paypal. From June I no longer have a choice, I must use Paypal.

Ebay have said that this new policy is a test case for the rest of the world so what do you guys think, is it a good idea?

Yes I am a eBay member hello :-) and i think that with everyone using pay pal it keeps people honest even if it is a cheap buy people can take the money and run think about it if someone was taking even a dollar from everyone over a year or so it would all add up!!

I pay for things through pay pal even if it's a $3 auction it's still only $3 if you do a bank deposit and pay pal don't care so why worry! you get what you want in the end!

edit - for the answer above I don't have a credit card and still use pay pal!

It's a bad idea. Not everyone uses a credit card.
