Advantage and disavantage of debit card....10pnts?

what's are the advantage and disavantage of debit card? why debit card is more good than credit carD?

The advantage of a debit card is if you don't have cash or they don't take checks, you can use your debit card. You can also make on-line purchases and pay at the pump. You are not going into debt as with a credit card,

The disadvantage is you have to have the money in your account, it is not credit. You have to have it to use it. If you are not good at recording your purchases you can overdraft on your account. It also does not build credit history like a credit card does.

Debit card is better than a credit card because you pay what you pay and no more, no credit building up and you're limited by the money in your account so you're not overdrawn and in debt.

Debit cards are good because you don't have to carry cash around, it's more secure that way and less to fumble around with. You can shop over the internet too and so it gives you more options.

Disadvantage being you don't see what you're spending so you're tempted to spend alot more than you would with cash in hand.

I have both but I hardly use the credit..debit is much better cz:
1- it deducts directly from ur account (good if u have funding!). If not, credit card could save ur @$$ sometimes..
2- u don't have to remember to pay or else..!!
3- no hidden fees
4- u usually don't pay extra to have it

you can only spend what you have with a debit card, and your never charged interest.

It also saves you using ATMS
