Anyone know where I can find a list of Houston law firms and their websites?

Please don't tell me to check the Yellow Pages. I'm looking for some kind of ranking, such as a list of the largest firms to smallest, etc. Thanks!

If you intend to work (and eventually practice) in Houston, the best thing to do is join the Houston Bar Association ( students are eligible and there should be a discounted rate). Here is the website:http://www.hba.org/
Once you join: they will send you a directory of law firms (and more importantly, lawyers and their practice areas) in Houston. Also, they will have networking events/social mixers which you should attend as a way to meet lawyers and to get to know the different law firms and their cultures.

Another resource is this: http://www.nalpdirectory.com/
On that site, you type in "Houston" as a search criteria and it will bring up all law firms in Houston (at least the ones with nalp profiles). Note however that Nalp deals mostly with large (and some mid-size) firm, so you are not likely to find small firm information via that method.

I take it you are trying to find summer employment? Good luck!

Sort by city. I think five or six of the largest 250 firms are in Houston.
