What can you do about payroll checks that have not been cashed after 90 days?

So I was throwing some old things away from my parents house and I came across a big envelope with a handbook inside from my old job. I opened it all up and found 4 smaller envelopes inside. Those had 4 checks adding up to $650.00. These are payroll checks!!! Does anyone know if I can do anything about this???? Mind you.....these are from three years ago1 :(

Call the company,they WILL issue you new checks.I just went through the same exact thing with my stock dividends,had no problem at all.

payroll checks are good for 270 days unless otherwise stated. after that they are no good. most likely you can't do anything unless you contact your old place of employement and see if they will re issue the checks

Call the company to see if they still have the funds. If not they may have turned the funds over to your state's unclaimed funds division.

Call the company and ask them to reissue the checks (they might charge you a fee though). Or try cashing them and see if they go through.

shred it and throw it away.
