Does anyone own an embroidery business? Does it pay off? is it worth it?

I was thinking of an Embroidery business? does anyone know if its worth the time? maybe it doesnt pay off? maybe it does? i am just trying to get a clear view of what type of business i would like to open within the next year or so and this has been one of my choices that i have been thinking about. does anyone have any comment on this?

I can from personal expreience of many years reccomend starting an embroidery business, you will not be short of work. If anything and like me after many many years you may find it too much, you need to plan properly, there is alot of work involved especialy if you are going into the personalised embroidery business, my advice is to start with your own website apose to the most common approach of ebay. Ebay fees are high, you will be astounded by the work you get from ebay but the fees will make sure your working for peanuts. I was lucky enough to come up with a rare product that simply needed customizing. Do reasearch properly especialy on how much to charge, embroidery may be simple but advertising and customer service can take up alot of time. i dont know one but i know these two brothers that own thier own called extreme stitching and right now they are working thier way up to thier peak. they have so much business right now i think it just depends on where your location is and how well of a job you do
