Is it legit if theres a test to get a job that is 130 dollars?

I seen in the paper there was a postal job, it was nation wide! But the test cost 130 dollars, is this legit or is there something wrong with it?

Its not a scam, it is only an exam. The best way to get into the post office is to ask your post office worker about jobs and they will have the number to call for your area. You do have to take the test to work in the post office, but you shouldn't take it until they ask you to.

Seriously...does that REALLY sound legit to you?

they can charge if they want to.. it is legal.. it doesn't mean that particular job is legit though... 130 bucks is a lot for a test.. ask friends.. and if you have never heard of it.. and they claim to be nation wide.. i would doubt it

it is civil service in NYC,,,,,,,,,,,,,,maybe legit.check with the city/state/fed gov..........

I would advise you to never pay to apply for a job.

A legitimate employer would not charge to test you.

If you have to pay to get a job, you don't need a job.

Postal jobs are filled by test that are given by the Postal Service. Check at your local Post Office for when the next test date is and get signed up for it. They should also be able to tell you which post offices in the area need help.

This is not getting you the job only the chance to take the exam, i wouldn't do it, find out through your postal service when the next testing dates are in your area.

It may be - but my advice for you is to try a few things out first, then go from there. I spent 2 years in a radiology program and after I got the experience I decided it was not for me... I also tried majoring in English for a while to become a teacher, then I shadowed my sister-in-law and decided that was not for me either. Now I am working on my Bachelors degree in Dietetics and I love it. Keep your $130, spend it on books, and get educated before you make a decision as to what you want to do for the rest of your life. By the way - I took a free, online version of that test and the results were WAY off... I could never be a teacher!!! :)
