Is it safe to buy textbooks online?

is it safe to buy books in a website such as Ebay, Amazon, etc...

i just transfer my money...
and what should i do if there is no book comes to my house...

Amazon.com is very safe. It's a publicly traded company, is very successful, and has been around for many years. They couldn't survive that long and be profitable if they were cheating everyone.

I've probably spent thousands of dollars on their website over the years and I've never had a single problem. They have a customer service department to help on the off-chance that you do have a problem.

Just make sure that you have an updated web browser that has 40 bit (and preferably 128-bit encryption). Also, run a malware program to make sure that your computer hasn't picked up something that will compromise your credit or debit card number. Then, relax and buy your books.

Yes, I use half.com which is a partner of Amazon.. ALl the books I've bought from people on half have come in excellent condition! I saved 250 bucks last semester!

I agree with the previous answer, I got all of my books from there too, it's great. The university sometimes has used books for sale and this will save you money. You might also want to post something on your on line community college website, this way you can get it directly from the student who used it last.

You can usually return your books at the end of the semester so hold onto your receipt.

I just ordered my textbooks for next semester this afternoon. I use eFollet but have also used eBay and Amazon.com in the past.
