If there is a recession this year is it true that interest rates will drop and it will be better to buy?

buy things such as cars, housing, and how about student loans, would that be a good way to consolidate them?

Real estate prices are going to the great porcelain god so it will be a good year to purchase a home . the problem will be qualifying for the loan as they are tightening up on requirements . Interest rates may increase slightly until the last quarter unless some one in DC pulls Bush's head out of his rectum . All I can give are patterns but I personally think interest rates will drop about 2 % just before election time { as it has so many times in the past } . Bush and congress have already declared they don't give squat about all the people facing foreclosure because of their greedy friends in the mortgage industry who have taken the money and run leaving the taxpayer to pay for the mess as usual .

during uncertain times .rates go up.....................no one wants to loan out their $$$$$$$$$$4
