Please can you tell me what this currency is worth?

1000 THIERHA (some letters are upside down and from another language which i cannot type) I have shown what letters they are closet to looking like.
another name on the bill is PYBAEN

Based on the information you give, there is not a lot I can tell you other than RYB^EN is the word in Russian for "Rubles" and TbIcrya is the word in Russian for "Thousand". Yes, I know I don't have all the Russian letters right.
Does your banknote have a date on it of any kind or more text? Right now, we can't be sure if your note is from Russia, Belarus, or any of several other countries that have used rubles at some point in their history. That would be helpful.
Here is a link to a search on eBay for all Russia 1000 ruble notes - this includes everything from Czarist Russia to the present. Perhaps one of these is your note.

The current exchange rate for 1000 Belarus rubles is only about 46 cents. If it's a Russian ruble, it's a bit over 40 dollars. For your sake, I hope it's from Russia! (Conversion figures from http://www.oanda.com/converter/classic
