Shame on ARGOS lieing about sale prices? |
Iv just been searching the argos website to see which items i want are on sale, i also have their catolgue infront of me so that i can just type in the cat. number to the item i want I don't know the laws in England but this happens a lot here in the U.S. Its a staple tactic of mall jewlery stores to advertise a particular item thats 50-75% off, but the reality is the base price they are supposedly discounting is simply marked up 50-75%, thus reducing the price to normal but still claiming its a sale price. if somone complains about argos then they will probably say it was a type-o but they could also be doing it illegally witch is serious, but either way you can get it for 7.99 if you show them your catalogue No, it isn't legal. Contact your local trading standards department - you can find them on your County Council's website - and give them the details. |
