Where can I find the account number on a money order?

Recently I bought a money gram money order and sent it to somebody in return for another item. So I sent the money order, and kept the little stub, and the guy received the MO.
He took it to walmart and they said they can't cash it there. Then he took it to the bank and they said they needed the Account Number.. I'm 15 and have no clue where or what this is.. SOMEBODY HELP!!!

I think they wanted HIS account number at the bank. The idea of a cashier's check is to be a simple way for anyone to acquire a check. Especially people who don't have accounts.

Banks, on the other hand, will want to only cash checks for an individual who has an account at the bank.

Have him call the money order company and ask them where he can cash it. If you bought it at a 7-11, he can probably cash it at a 7-11.
