Why do we need banks (buildings) and cashiers?

The workplace can transfer our money in our accounts.
And we can use debit cards, no more cash (save the trees)
And we can check our money in our accounts everyday.
And plus, no more bank robberies... cause we don't
need bank buildings anymore.
And plus no more Armor Trucks (carrying cash)
And if we want loans and stuff, we can do it over the internet and fax machines.
And we got ATMs.
No more checks... we got Debit Cards...
And we can phone in and see how much we have in our accounts...
or go to www.checkouraccounts.com (I made up) for example
and stuff like that.

We don't need bank buildings.

And then cashiers at the store, do we really need them?
All we have to do is use debit cards... we don't need cash.
And swipe coupons at the machine and stuff.

It's all a fiat system. we could live with barter. Jesus said not to store capital but to share it. If Christians were not hypocrites money would be useless.

people like having a face to face transaction

I understand what you mean. We are moving closer to a cashless/paperless world. That being said we use more paper now than ever.

We still need hard copies of paper for official documents.
And still need cash. In case our cards don't work.
We don't want interest building up on credit cards.
Some places charge a fee on using debit cards.
ATM's & card machines breakdown and there are places (hate it ) that don't except cards.
Plus there are places you don't want to use your card.
Also people can rob banks thru a computer know plus all they ways they can steal your id.
Also as for cashiers its sometimes ( sometimes) nice to have a personal visit at a store.
It is kind of scary to think that we can live our daily lives without talking to another PERSON and not a machine.

For personal face to face interactions....without this mental health issues will rise higher and higher.....human connections are vital to mental health.
