How do i send a western union money order to a friend?

I need to send some money to a friend through western union but i dont know how that works i want it to get to him asap or should i just go with a money order? any other ways of sending money safely ?

or you can do the same thing at a WalMart, for less.

make sure there is a western union in both towns--all you do is provide information pay the amount and a small charge its there in 15 minutes-or you can do the same at walmat with money gram work same way a few dollars cheaper--check times stores are open

You can go to your bank to get a money order or even a grocery store Keep the stub to prove that you paid for the money order You can also send a cashiers check but I think a money order would be better

Western Union is very expensive. Also try www.xoom.com for sending money. They charge a lot less and they will even deliver the money. I have used it extensively to send money overseas. Xoom also allows you to send as little as $25. I have it setup to deduct the money directly from my bank account but they also accept credit cards online.

A US post office money order can cost as little as $1.05 to get. They can be cashed by the recipient at any post office. (Assuming the office has enough money on hand.)

The downside is you have to mail the money order to them. Overnight mail is $13-14. First class mail is 41cents.
