How do you wire money internationally?

I'm trying to wire money to China. What is the best way to do this?

Your bank is the best place to wire funds from. Ask the teller at the window to direct you to the right person in the bank.

By the way, the person above advised sending it from xoom.com, and the person below from westernunion.com - just to be clear, you are not allowed to send money to China using an online service. You MUST appear in person.

www.xoom.com Its the cheapest (although not the fastest) way to send money. Wire transfers normally can cost 25$ or more. Xoom.com costs as low as 3.99

Western Union has lots of locations in China where someone could receive money that you send. I've never sent money to China, but I have sent it to Mali via Western Union, and it worked fine.

Why? Seriously.

If you are buying junk off of eBay, it's worthless.
If they promised you they can sell you electronics and designer clothes, they items will be knockoffs or counterfeit (and subject to seizure by customs).

Look up Western Union. Be prepared to pay a pretty penny to send it and all has to be paid in cash. Good luck.
