A way to mail a surprise package?

Hey I need to know a way to receive a surprise package without mailing it to my place of residence (because the intended recipient will undoubtedly see the package before I do). It isn't very big, maybe... 8x12x3 in, but I don't know of any service that will allow me to mail to them and then later pick it up. I don't mind paying a small amount of money, but I don't want to end up paying more than say $20 or $10 a month.

Ask a friend if you can mail it to their house or another relative. I've sent gifts to my Mother's I didn't want my lady to see.

do it care of general delivery at your local post office. Alternately, check with fed-ex or ups to see if you can have it shipped and picked up at their location

Try a UPS store. They will accept packages even if you don't have an private mailbox with them.

well if the package is wrapped and has your name on
it the other residence shouldn't care what is in the box.

If you ship it Fedex, there is a Hold at Fedex location option.
The ship to address must be a Fedex drop off center and the sender has to select the option of Hold at Fedex Location.

If you include your phone number, they'll try to contact you when the package is available for pickup.
