During labour disputes, why do employers lock out their employees? |
Why not just let them continue working under the old contract so they can continue making a profit? It's a power play. A lockout is a reverse strike. The company believes that they can survive without profits longer than the workers can survive without a paycheck. To the company, it is a way of forcing the hand of the workers, to get them to agree to something that they really don't want to because they have to feed their family. thanks for the giggles. |
