Has anyone had a problem with receiving mail from their associated post office? |
What did you do in that case? I'm not sure exactly what the problem is, whether it is slow delivery, or a refusal to deliver to your address, but whatever the case the first thing I would do is go to the station that your mail is delivered out of. Ask to speak to station manager or the postmaster, whichever one they have at that office. Tell them your problem. It could be various things. It could be that the mail is getting delayed at the processing plant or it could be a problem at that station. If the person in charge does not resolve your problem and I would give them a reasonable time to do so, but if they don't resolve it to your satisfaction then call 1-800-275-8777 during normal business hours. That number is an automated system but eventually you can get to a live person. Tell them you wish to file a complaint regarding delivery. You may need to tell them what city you live in. They should refer you to the Consumer Affairs office that serves the district that you live in. Consumer Affairs will investigate the problem and make sure it is resolved. Hope this helps.
