Mastercard Giftcard!! HElp.?

my mom gave me a 300 dollar mastercard giftcard.
do most stores accept that?
and one more question, do i have to be 18?

i know they are stupid questions lol but
im supposed to go shopping today
and i wanna make sure.!!

Any store that accepts mastercard will accept the gift card. No, you don't have to be 18 to use it. Since it's a gift card it's not linked to a unique user and therefore anyone can use it until it's used up.

A few words of caution though. First, guard it with your life. Since there is no unique user associated with it, if you lose it someone can spend it all -- it's a little like cash in that way.

Second, know the balance. It does not work like a store's gift card in that they can zero it out, and leave a balance for you to pay. If you only have $21.82 left on the card and the total at the store is $24.76 -- you'll need to tell them to only charge $21.82 and then you can pay the difference. If the store attempts to charge the whole amount it will decline the whole amount.
