Hey how i should promote my blog??

For the last few days i have been trying to promote my blog

i have joined a lot of directories and have been promoting it on them, tried social communities whats next:
Can i promote it on Yahoo Answers?? if yes how Because writing a link under answer looks weird.

You are on the right track thats for sure. Keep writing and the traffic will come. Comment on other blogs (useful information only) in your niche and don't spam. Start a mailing list and send your visitors a monthly newsletter. Nothing is instant so it might take a while before seeing results.

In terms of advertising on Yahoo answer. I think if you give useful information about a particular subject Yahoo won't have a problem with you posting a link to your website.
