What is a great gift idea for a client?

need some ideas here, if you are in the high-end building and remodeling industry what are some GREAT gift ideas for a client at the end of a job?

this would be residential construction (high-end)

You might want to consider service-related gifts, like 3 months of Merry Maid services, or 6 months of landscaping services.

It'd not only be a gift that "keeps on giving," but you help employment in your area.

How about a time capsule with pictures of the family buried in the floor or wall. You can get prints made inex so you aren't burying the real things.

You might consider a years worth of security monitoring from ADP or someone like them. Certainly depends on your margins.

You could get a picture of the family etched and embed it in the corner of the house.

Maybe a poster that they could relate to? Check out http://www.viewposters.com

Could be something they could use for decoration. Something that would look good in their office...

A SUV!

i think a gift basket is a perfect gift for just about any ocassion. you can get one with wines and cheese, or one with assorted chocolates, sweets, nuts, etc.

Tell you what, have your company secretary call up his secretary. Ask about his hobbies. Golf? Snooker? Wood-carving? Fine whiskey? The secretary would know, and can actually make some great suggestions.

What you think is a great gift might not be the best for the client. If you're in charge of the gift buying then get hold of the person who actually handle that client. He'd be able to tell you what he's really into and you can get something that's relevant to his interests (and not necessarily yours).

HTH.
