Does anyone know how i can promote selling avon without going door to door bothering people in my area?

In addition to the already good answers, create an email signature that automatically goes on all your outgoing mail.

Then choose one or two (tasteful) jokes from the ones you get each day, and forward them to friends. If they're good ones, they'll be forwarded on. (Don't overload people, however.)

If you have a lot of friends in your selling area, be sure to tell them that you're selling Avon and ask them to mention you to their other friends. Mention your work in casual conversations - tell about an exciting new fragrance or how excited you get every time the order comes in. (I used to think it was like Christmas - getting to see all the products as I bagged the orders.)

When you make a sale, go ahead and ask your buyer for a referral to other friends who like Avon products.

Be sure to be very consistent with the customers you get. Don't let them miss a sale on their favorite product because you didn't get there on time with their orders.

Keep records - if Mary Smith always buys a certain product when it's on sale, be sure to point it out to her every time there's a special.

Be generous with samples when you deliver your orders - and if it's a new product, don't just leave it in the sack. Tell the customer about it - ask her to try it out and let you know what she thinks.

You can market online. Set up a website with your own domain where you can send people too. Put ads out on the online classifieds and your local newspaper. Put out flyers and business cards at local businesses. Magnetic sign on your car. Places you go all the time, like your local hairdresser, ask if you can leave your information or books there, where you go and get your nails done, do the same thing. Be very proactive, there's so much you can do with working with cosmetics. Once you start building your client base then it will get easier for you to bring other people in.
