Ebay items hidden details!?

Anyone else noticed how some items are carefully photographed from selected angles or photographed from somewhat less than close up!

Sometimes when I ask sellers questions about the items, I end up with obscure answers intended to disguise the facts.

Any one else think that a fair few sellers on Ebay push their luck a bit? I also suspect that some buyers wont give negative feed back because they fear the seller will do the same to them.

Yes that's about the size of it.

Always check out what's in the background of those Ebay pictures. If the rest of the house looks grotty, beware.

If the item has been photographed in an untidy garden or garage, you can be sure the seller doesn't give a toss

Yes they do. I once bought a top in "mint" condition and it had a sweat stained armpit! Needless to say I sent that back! If you are ever unsure then dont risk it.

I recommend checking their refund policy. If they do not let you return for any reason, be afraid, very afraid. And don't be afraid of a few negative feedbacks. It can be disputed or just not as crucial as it used to be.

Yes, eBay has it's bad eggs on both the buyer and seller sides.
eBay is setting up ways to contest unreasonable negative ratings and prevent revengeful negative feedback.
