I want to become a regustered trader on ebay so that I can purchase from "cash & carry" and other wholesalers.

i currently sell on ebay, but at present, I'm just selling bits and bobs in my house. How do I become a registered trader so that I can be an official registered seller/have my own business? I know you have to pay tax and stuff, but how does it work? who do i contact?
