Is Boxing Day Overrated? |
Here in Canada, they don't have Black fridays, but we do have Boxing day. Last year, was a large letdown due to the deals that weren't really hot, but just mildly warm.. Like 15% off a 500$ HDTV. I think it's more a gimmick of getting you into their store, and thinking it's a big deal, when it's just a decent one. Therefore, making you buy more. It is overrated although that was not always the case. Boxing day use to have bigger discounts but with overhead cost up and more competion ( world wide web) the profit margin is down. Thus creating smaller discounts such as15% instead of 25 to35% off like in years past. Maybe next boxing day we will have bigger discounts. don't worry.. black friday down here wasn't that great this year either :/ |
