Is GAP's marketing strategy effective (ad)?so many ppl are complaining about it, thus it is getting attention.

Many people on here are kids. Kids are easily brain washed.
I will never buy anything from them. More I hear and see that add the more I vow not to give them my money.
Of course I muted it....

I hate it. And don't bother e-mailing them because they send everyone the exact same e-mail "word for word". I doubt they ever read the complaints.

Yahoo has to make money somehow. They are annoying, yes, but that's what you get when you use a free service.

someone on another question said that yahoo posted a note on the Forum that the ad is to bet removed due to the large number of complaints

also others suggested clicking the Canadian or Australian flags at the bottom, because the ad doesn't feature in those countries

I am done shopping at Gap..simply because of this annoying ad.

One of the interesting observations he made was that we were moving from Broadcasters (like news, etc.) to Broadcatchers were the individual decides what to look at or read from the tremendous flow of content and information.

What this ad does is violate my space by broadcasting in a broadcatchers world, it will not have its desired effective for either GAP or Yahoo.
TV, Radio, and newspapers are all struggle with this problem, they are trying to send a message and no one is home. In my opinion, the same will happen to anyone trying to "broadcast" on the Internet.

I'm a few inches away from boycotting both GAP and Y!A because I am fed up. Effective?

It's creating an association in people's brains between GAP and being driven crazy. I'm less likely to shop there.
