Liquor Advertising?

What is the best way to market a brand a new liquor we want to sell to the public. Any suggestions would be great...

i work in marketing however basically software and new product servers and such ..my opionion is

Free samples locate a college hang out and have a 2 hour window where you give out shirts and glasses with your company logo on it, you can give out shirts or you can give them a product if they purchase a glass/shot of your product.

Make recipe cards for your product and post it on some mix drink forums. Also for handing out to local liquor stores to place next to the cash register or next to your product in the store.

find a frat house having a party (legal age of course)
and donate a case of your product to the house for your party.
People love free stuff.

If not go to a local liqour store and see the brands that resemble your product and take their ideas but make your own twist to them. Try to do somthing original.

Bars and all will be more willing to help if you gave them more, Remember you have to spend it to make it. Very rarely will a company make money the first yr.

First, we need to know who the liquor is geared toward, and that depends on what type of liquor it is (vodka, gin, etc) and how much it costs. With that, you'd come up with the age group. Then, is it geared toward males/females? All races/ethnicities?

My point is... you can't advertise a wine cooler in the ad setting of a football game, just like you can't advertise expensive Scotch by having the ad in a setting like a dance club for young college students.

We need to know more about the liquor!
