:: How do i pull more clients for my cleaning and janitorial service. Please Help!::?


I work full time and run a cleaning business on the side. Due to some financal problems and supporting my mom and dad who had a surgery and mom who got laid off 4 months ago....i help them make house payments. I need regular income to support them. I drive for a living (independent contractor) so im stuck for 1 more year... my work will be slow for the next four months. I only have 4 clients that i got through personal contacts and i want to run my business full time with more employees. I want to pull clients for bigger jobs that can provide me with a little more and regular income. Any advice on how to propose big customers like in corporate buildings and etc. anything work is good enough. How can i propose my customers and write a proposal letter?!! any help would be appericated.

Marketing for Janitorial contracts.????
1) I run a custom embroidery company and you need to create your cooperate identity. Create your logo and business name on your cooperate apparel.

2) Put the logo on your Auto

3) Make up business cards and hand them out. Every time you see someone you know hand several of them out. When you give people your business card, always give them more than one and ask them to give them to their friends/coworkers, etc.

4) The key for this kind of business is word-of-mouth. Think of some clever ways to encourage your existing clients to tell people about you. Perhaps you could start with a friend or family member to be one of your "spokesperson". I owned a convenience store for 10 years and a lot of business deals started in the checkout line by strangers. Tell everyone about you and ask if they know anyone that could use your service. Ask for a referral from an existing client

5) Start a website as a way to advertise you. Let your website work for you and your clients swap links. When making your own web site do some research on how to optimize your site so that you get a good ranking with a natural search. You do this by embedding smart key words. Your website could show your community involvement and you could have questions and answers on the site.

6) Look for websites that you can advertise for free. Advertise in the Yahoo local. Find free on-line classified web sites for your community. Typically the local chamber of commerce will offer such a service. You can advertise here for free: http://www.trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?48605

7) A Yellow page ad seems to work great also.

8) Try to get your local newspaper to do a free article on your business.

9) Sponsor local sport teams or ballparks that hang up banners. There are also inexpensive ways to advertise like a local penny saver newspaper, high school yearbooks and newspapers, etc.

10) Call radio show call in and contest and always answer or make the statement with "your name and company name and you have been working hard" free radio ads are great.

11) Telemarketing When its slow in the office go down the page of the yellow pages and just call each # and ask if they need any Janitorial work if you get a lead it may lead to a contract. I have a friend that does windshield replacements. On his call he asks if anyone there or if they know of anyone that needs a windshield replacement. If they say no, he says, 鈥淭hank you and states his company name鈥? He says he very rarely get a complaint or a hang-up.

One thing you need to do is find out about your feature client when you do this your client like it when you know thier company and can show them how and what you can do for them .also invite feature clients to a semminar an d profile your company.ALSO BE SURE AND HOW READY REFERNCES.

This is a difficult question to answer. Do you and your mom attend a church, even occasionally? Are there any non profit, charitable organizations that you or your mother feel strongly about? Even if you are too busy to attend all of their functions, your mother could be your advocate. My thought is that we get what we give, and often ten fold! The principle does not need to be understood to work, just work with the principle. You may even convince your employees of the benefits, but be prepared to foot the initial investment. Cast your bread on the water, it comes back. NOTE, getting involved may not involve cleaning the church, or an organization's office, just get involved.
