What do they mean by "door busters" regarding a sale? |
What do they mean by "door busters" regarding a sale? Someone like myself will try to break down the doors if the sale is worth it , especially if it is a shoe and purse sale. People will be waiting outside for the store to open, about to bust down the doors. The sale is so terrific, customers are BUSTING DOWN THE DOORS to get inside. It's suppose to mean people are going to be trying to bust down the doors to get into the store for the good savings. because people will bust the door to get to the sale. It means their marketing department lacks creativity. It's today's holiday version of "Going Out Of Business Sale". It basically means you have to be there early. "Busting through the door, when they open for business". Generally though, most door busters are available until noon or 1 p.m. People will be busting down the doors to attend the sale. It means usually it is cheaper in the first few hours of the sale, then about 11 am it will not be as cheap. The sale price will go up...But it will still be on sale...But the early birds will get the worm! that means people will "bust down/open,the doors"to get at the cheap prices. they hope to get a crowd outside before opening hours , who press against the door in a effort to be first in to get to the sale items . The sale is so good that customer's will be busting down the doors to get to them. dorr busters are sales that are set for a certain time during the day like for example 10am tell 4pm, its not a full day sale its just for a few hours. certain item that are "so " cheap,that people "bust "down the door to get them,they are also called "LOSS leader" item.the money they lose they make up in other items,ie,gas station selling milk or bread cheaper than anywhere to get you to buy your gas ,cigs,treats,at reg prices.or a pub/bar selling hot wings for 25 cents,they cost more than that raw!,but they make up for it in booze sales.or wal mart selling a comman item that is the same price almost anywhere,for less to get peoples attention and bring them in;who doesn't end up spending more than they planned when they go to that dam wal mart. its such a stupid term... makes me think that items are busting down the doors to get out! LOL |
