Does advertising work on you?

Honestly, how often does it work on you? You can't say that no commercial has influenced whether or not you buy something but in my experience it just doesn't happen often.

i mean, does the valtrex commercial really make you feel better about if and when you get genital herpes?

different kinds of ads are targeted toward different kinds of people/situations. the valtrex ad doesn't "make you feel better", it informs you and lets you know that valtrex exists.

kentucky fried chicken (or any food ad) is designed to entice you. maybe you hadn't thought of a whopper for weeks...months even, but all of a sudden you see one on tv. now you want one.

di sorrono on the rocks? i don't even know what it tastes like, but i want in with the crowd that drinks it on tv. i want to identify with that lifestyle. or at least that's the object of the ad.

Some ads are cute, and I remember them.........but I don't run out and buy things I've seen on TV

Some get my attention, and I may or may not remember the product in the future if I need to purchase it. I do check the websites on billboards though...strange but interesting to see what they are about.

if the product or service is relevant to me, i will pay attention
