..on line, web site, new idea's...?

ok,how do i go about getting my web ideas out there! iv'e got a great idea for a site similar to what we all go on but i would like to present it to somebody,a company who would be willing to help me without stealing my idea as i have been burned in the past at a cost of 10 grand! yea ouch! so is there a way of patenting my idea/idea's before i approach anyone.

I think the trick here will be to find a web designer willing to work for a small-ish fee and who will own part of the business. You could set up a Ltd company, assign the website rights to this company and agree that the designer will own 10% or 25% or whatever (but not more than 49%) as well as getting whatever fee is reasonable.

You may better do it fast, before some one else ...................

No you wont be able to pattent an idea for a website. You can copyright your website.

I have 26 websites and have invested in more. if you have a good idea the chances are someone else has the same idea and is in the same situation as you so hurry up and get started.

You can always do the poor man's way of copyrighting an idea or whatever.

Document everything, and place in a Fed-Ex package. Fed-Ex the package to yourself.

Do not open the package when you get it. The package will contain information such as date and time.

If there is ever a dispute on your copyrighted material, the unopened package contains the date and time to prove you came up with the idea before hand.

You should consult with a patent attorney. The normal fee for submitting and formalizing a patent is around $20,000.
