Group Buy Power?

We all have idea that we can buy wholesale directly, without middle man, some website failed.
Do you know any website still doing this?
Why this idea doesn't work?
Why we(consumer) cannot unite together, we have power to set price, not the merchant.
I hate going to Walmart.

those ideas fail because there is not enough margin in the sale, manufacturers cannot supply price preference and upset retailers, and its impossible to manage from a supply/demand perspective.

Dont go to walmart, support your local mom and pop stores
